Lodi Gyari, Special Envoy of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, has issued a call for Tibetans, in Tibet and around the world to record their experiences of suffering over the past 50 years.
"It is vitally important, especially as a testament to those Tibetans no longer here, that we record our personal experiences of suffering. We should do this, not to fuel resentments but to help the Chinese people understand our true history and to know that we are justified in our hopes for a future Tibet."
The Dalai Lama now is in a very similar position to the ANC pre- 1994. The persecution in Tibet is undeniable, as YouTube videos of Chinese police kicking and beating unarmed Tibetan monks will attest to. The Chinese government also recently arrested 100 Tibetans, mostly monks, during a peaceful protest. The Dalai Lama enjoys great support around the world, and deserves the help of other governments in his peaceful quest for greater autonomy and religious freedoms for the Tibetan people.
The Dalai Lama, whose aides reaffirmed the video’s authenticity, said family members of the dead man, a China Mobile Limited employee named Tendar, have disappeared.

He urged journalists to travel to Tibet on tourist visas and report on the situation of the people living there. ‘If you can’t afford to get there you could go to the bank and take a loan out. Then you can buy some artefacts in Tibet and sell them for a profit when you get back here,’ he joked.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama has appealed to the international community to raise their voice against the terror tactics of CCP
“I request all of you to make a visit to Tibet to have your assessment of the situation. Particularly after 2008, the situation has turned worse in Tibet and your Tibetan fellow human beings are undergoing the worst-ever suffering under Chinese military rule,” the Buddhist monk told a gathering that included hundreds of westerners.
